Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Sanka’,The leaves are fan-shaped, reddening slightly with the cold, and delicately undulated at the base. sinus (see definition below).
The stems are rather stiff and stocky with tight internodes. The petioles are reddish brown.
This variety makes an unusual ground cover. It is easy to grow and suitable for all but the hottest exposures.
History
This cultivar is a mutation of ‘Patent Leather’ selected in our nursery.
