
Many ivies are suitable for shady exposure. Remember: ivy is mainly an understory plant. We've selected over 250 here, and this list of shade ivy varieties is by no means exhaustive!
As long as ivy remains in the shade, it won't grow to adulthood, i.e. it won't produce flowers or fruit. But it can make a beautiful carpet in places that are impossible to plant, such as under conifers.
