Description
Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Renton Gold’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Renton Gold’, is an ivy plant with small, slender leaves consisting of 3 to 5 lobes on sparsely branched stems.
New growth is very light green, or chartreuse green, almost yellow. As the weather gets colder, reddish spots and a very narrow red margin appear. With age, the leaves turn green.
This variety forms thin mats. It is a slow-growing, climbing ivy that should be planted in a spot where it will be in the sun for part of the day, to take advantage of its yellow colouring.
