Its foliage is grey-green-yellow, mottled with darker green and grey-green. It takes on its full colour in midsummer, with the young leaves becoming lighter.
Ivy should be used on walls, embankments or tree trunks, preferably facing east or north, taking care to trim it back to reduce its thickness. It can form very thick mats. It quickly matures in sunny conditions.

This cultivar was discovered by the Ernst Luz nursery, Germany, around 1950.
