Description
Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix 'Francis'
Ivy, Hedera helix 'Francis', has a compact habit and good self-ramification. The stems are reddish-green, with short internodes.
The leaves are 6-7 cm long, with a distinctive, sublime veining. Resistant to dry weather and even hot sun, it can be used in pots or as ground cover.
It is classified as a fan-leaved ivy in the Pierot classification (named after its inventor and founder of the American Ivy Society).
In dry weather, the foliage is covered with a silvery bloom.
Hedera helix 'Francis' is a sport (mutation) of 'Green Ripple'.
Other compact ivy
The advantage of compact-form ivy is its relative "wisdom". For those who fear over-invasive ivy, this is a good solution.
Our collection includes more than 120 ivy plants with compact habit, from which you can choose. You'll find them all by selecting "Port compact".
