Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Bodil’, It produces vigorous annual shoots.
The leaves are fairly small, with 3 to 5 pointed lobes. The base of the leaf is cordate. The leaf blade is green with creamy white spots. The foliage glows slightly in winter at the level of the creamy mottling for a very attractive effect. The stems are sparsely branched with long internodes.
This is an ivy to be used as a climber to embellish trunks or walls. It is not thick enough to form a screen.
History
This cultivar, a mutation of ‘Pittsburgh’, was introduced from Denmark around 1954.
