Description
Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Bill Archer’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Bill Archer’, is an atypical ivy variety with fine foliage.
The leaves are linear, not lobed, scurved at the edges and slightly toothed. The leaf blade is dark green. The stems are slender and highly branched. Lhe shoots have very short internodes, which increases the lightness effect.
This is a beautiful ground-covering or climbing ivy that can also be used in pots or to make topiaries.
History
This cultivar was discovered by Stephen Taffler in 1980. It is the result of a mutation of ‘Spear Point’.
