Description
Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Anita’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Anita’, Its small, arrowhead-shaped leaves are a real eye-catcher.
They are generally made up of 3 to 5 lobes, which are tiny and very indented. The median lobe is clearly longer than the lateral ones. They narrow at the base. The leaf blade is a shiny dark green. The stems are highly branched, rather slender, with very short internodes.
This bushy, compact ivy makes an excellent ground cover for small areas of the garden. Some people also use it for bonsai.
This variety was voted «Ivy of the Year» by the American Ivy Society in 2006.
