Ornamental ivy, ‘Hedera ‘Algerian Bellecour’ ®, is an ivy with very large leaves, up to 15 cm in diameter, made up of 3 more or less rounded lobes. The leaf blade is a dull dark green. The veins are clearly visible.
This is a vigorous and very fast-growing ivy. Its stems are well branched. The petioles are very long and reddish in colour.
Algerian Bellecour‘ is the ideal ivy for large areas of ground cover. If you want an ivy that does not climb, this is the variety to choose.
History
This cultivar was discovered in 1990 growing as ground cover in the Place Bellecour in Lyon, France.
