History

This cultivar was discovered in 1979 by Pieter Zwijnenburg, a nurseryman in the Netherlands, in the wild in the Caucasus mountains. It was initially mistaken for a variety of Hedera pastuchovii because of the shape of its leaves. But it doesn't have the spicy smell of pastuchovii.
