Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Wellenspiel’

In a nutshell

Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Wellenspiel’, is a magnificent ivy with three-lobed, forward-facing leaves, often twisted with a wavy leaf margin.

The side lobes sometimes overlap the central lobe. This is its main varietal characteristic. The centre of the leaf is green with a few small irregular spots, mint green or grey-green. The edges of the leaf are cream-coloured. In winter, the edges of the leaves turn pink in very cold, dry weather.

It grows moderately and has a compact, branched habit. Use in pots and in small areas of the garden as ground cover. This is a perfectly hardy ivy.
