This ivy, Hedera helix ‘Silver King’, This very elegant plant has leaves coloured in several shades of green and grey, with white speckles around the edges. The leaves may have 3 to 5 lobes.
This variety can be used as a hanging plant, ground cover or a climber.
This is a Pittsburg-type ivy that looks very similar to ‘Adam’.
History
The horticultural origin of this cultivar is not known to us.

The question of circumstance
What is Pittsburgh ivy?
‘Pittsburgh’ is a variety (cultivar) of very branchy ivy, i.e. forming numerous branches from the leaf axils, usually with very short internodes.
This cultivar has given rise to many other varieties of ivy with the same characteristics (branching ivy). All these ivies are of the Pittsburgh type.
This type of ivy is not included in the Pierot classification. We have added it because it is a very distinctive type of ivy.
