Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Serenade’, is a compact, fast-growing variety.
The rather small leaf is made up of 5 lobes with slightly rounded tips. The leaf blade is dark green, subtly marked in the centre with a yellow-green to light green zone. It becomes completely green with age.
This ivy should be placed in a bright spot.
History
This cultivar was discovered by Brother Ingobert Heieck in 1978 at the monastery in Neuburg, Germany. It is a mutation of ‘Pittsburgh Variegated’.’
