The stems are erect and thick. The leaves are arranged in a column on either side of the stem. They are small, triangular or three-lobed and truncated at the base. The leaf blade is dark green.
This is a low-growing variety, interesting for the structure it adds to a bed.
She was awarded the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Garden Merit Award in 1993.

This cultivar first appeared in the catalogue of Burkwood & Skipwith, Surrey, in the United Kingdom in 1956.
