Ornamental ivy - Hedera helix ‘Pixie’

Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Pixie’, is a compact ivy with unusual foliage, for use as ground cover in small spaces.
The leaves, about the size of a €2 coin, are composed of 5 to 7 lobes, with the median blade longer than the others. The leaf blade is medium to dark green, with slightly scurved edges.
The stems are well branched with short internodes. This ivy forms cushions around fifty centimetres in diameter.
History
This cultivar was discovered by E. Barcafer, Ohio, USA. It is thought to be a mutation of ‘California’.
